Dishonest translations and New Revelations...
The New World Translation and Book of Mormon
1.5 minute read
The dishonest New World Translation (NWT) of the Jehovah's Witnesses
Travellers often need translators. They must trust their translator. Inaccurate translators may misinterpret words, but dishonest translators deliberately change words.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses New World Translation is a dishonest translation of the Bible. They deliberately changed the translation of the original texts to support their misinterpretation of scripture.
Example: they changed the description of Jesus in John 1:1 from “was God” to “was a god” to deny that Jesus is God. They have deliberately changed the translation many times to accommodate their false teachings.
Simply put: Do not use it.

The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ
Many cults claim new revelations from God. The Book of Mormon from the Mormons is a good example.
The Mormons believe the Book of Mormon as equal to the Holy Bible and supplements it. They claim it is the account of God’s dealings with ancient people and Hebrew immigrants in Central America, and that Jesus visited there soon after his resurrection.
There is no scientific, historical or archaeological evidence to verify it. And its subtle teaching conflict with the Bible. Check it out on the Internet.
Many cults claim they have unique revelations from God. They are almost always incompatible with Scripture.
The Bible is sufficient to know of our need for a saviour. The Book of Mormon has small errors that eventually confuse the fundamental and historic faith of historical Christianity.
